The heart of Lyft

The people behind the care.

Our team is the foundation of everything we do. The experience our participants have is a direct reflection of how supported our people feel.

How we invest in our team

How we support our people.

Over the past year we've intentionally evolved how we support our team — moving toward a more human-centred approach to leadership. That means creating an environment where people feel trusted, empowered, and genuinely part of the work they deliver. We've focused on:

  • Thoughtful onboarding that helps people feel confident and connected from day one
  • Consistent support systems that provide clarity while allowing flexibility and autonomy
  • Space for reflective practice — encouraging our team to learn and grow from real experiences
  • Real-world training grounded in what actually happens in the field
  • Open communication where feedback flows both ways
  • Developing leadership from within
Leadership

Leadership.

Sammi — Founder & Director, Lyft Community.

Sammi

Founder & Director

Sammi founded Lyft Community after years of watching the care system fail the very people it was built to serve. She believes great care is built on relationships, not rosters — and has spent the past four years proving it. She picks up the phone herself.

Bridee — Operations Lead, Lyft Community.

Bridee

Operations Lead

Bridee keeps Lyft running — rostering, systems, and the thousand small decisions that make care feel seamless rather than scrambled. She came from a background in community services and knows that operational excellence is what lets the care team focus on people.

Joel — Care Lead, Lyft Community.

Joel

Care Lead

Joel manages participant relationships and support worker teams across Melbourne's south-east and the Mornington Peninsula. He's the person participants and families hear from when something needs sorting — and he sorts it.

Chloe — Care Lead, Lyft Community.

Chloe

Care Lead

Chloe leads the care team across Melbourne's bayside and inner suburbs. She brings a background in allied health and a genuine belief that the best support workers are the ones who stay.

Leanne — Administration Lead, Lyft Community.

Leanne

Administration Lead

Leanne manages the paperwork, the billing, and the behind-the-scenes systems that families never see but always benefit from. She's been in disability services for over a decade and brings calm and precision to everything she touches.

Alex — Compliance Lead, Lyft Community.

Alex

Compliance Lead

Alex oversees Lyft's compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, quality systems, and audit readiness. She ensures that what Lyft promises on its website is what actually happens on the ground — and that the evidence is there to prove it.

Paula — Aged Care Journey Lead, Lyft Community.

Paula

Aged Care Journey Lead

Paula guides families through the aged care system — from the first My Aged Care call through to ongoing Support at Home planning. She's navigated this system hundreds of times and knows how to make it feel less overwhelming.

Support Worker Advisory Circle

Our team shapes how we work.

We introduced our Support Worker Advisory Circle — a key step toward shared leadership. Through monthly sessions, frontline voices directly influence how we operate. We surface real experiences from the field, identify patterns early, and co-design improvements together. This is how we ensure our growth stays grounded in reality, not assumptions.
